Gears 5 Escape : Barracks

This is a collection of barracks escape tiles I worked on, escape was an interesting challenge due to such stringent performance requirements and the desire to keep all tiles consistent yet recognisable.

The First tile shown (Conservatory) was one of the hero tiles and I had Tibor Toth working alongside me, this tile was meant to be instantly recognisable at great distance and as such we had a bit more creative freedom on the lighting side.

The second tile (Grand Stairway) was one of the high re use tiles and had two meshing options allowing reuse of the tile without repetition. I was the sole world builder on this tile until bug fixing where Matthew Macer helped allowing me to partially move onto one of the MP maps.

Responsibilities included:
World building from initial blocking in and iteration to finalisation and bug fixing.
Creation of architectural elements and simple props using existing materials.
